Welcome to CGN Rentals LLC (“Company,” “we,” “our,” “us”). These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) govern your use of our services and vehicles. By renting a vehicle from us, you (“Renter,” “you,” “your”) agree to the following:
1. Eligibility
Renters must be at least 25 years old with a valid driver’s license.
Proof of insurance may be required before renting a vehicle.
2. Reservations and Payments
A valid credit card is required to secure your reservation.
Payment is due at the time of booking.
Cancellations made within 24 hours of the reservation may be subject to fees.
3. Vehicle Use
Vehicles are for local use only and are not to be driven outside the designated area outlined in your rental agreement.
Vehicles must be driven in accordance with all traffic laws and regulations.
The use of vehicles for commercial purposes, such as but not limited to off-roading, racing, or towing, is strictly prohibited.
Smoking, vaping, and the transportation of pets without prior approval are prohibited in all vehicles.
4. Insurance and Liability
Renters are responsible for providing proof of valid auto insurance.
If the renter does not have valid auto insurance, CGN Rentals LLC will provide insurance coverage at an additional cost, which will be disclosed during the booking process.
If the renter does not provide insurance during the booking process, one will be offered to the renter.
We reserve the right to charge a handling charge for locating, purchasing, and/or processing insurance for the renter. This handling charge will not be itemized on invoices and is included in the total cost of the insurance coverage.
Renters are fully liable for any damages, theft, or loss occurring during the rental period unless covered by insurance.
The deductible for damages not covered by insurance will be charged to the renter.
We reserve the right to change insurance providers during the rental period for any reasons. Any such change will ensure that the coverage provided remains equal to or better than the original terms.
5. Additional Services and Fees
We offer optional services and extras such as car baby seats, strollers, prepaid refueling, prepaid charging, coolers, and more. Availability and fees for these services will be disclosed during the booking process.
We reserve the right to charge a handling charge for locating and providing any requested extras. This handling charge will not be itemized on invoices and is included in the total cost of the requested extra.
6. Vehicle Condition and Return
Vehicles are thoroughly sanitized and inspected before rental to ensure cleanliness and safety.
Renters must return the vehicle in the same condition it was received, excluding reasonable wear and tear.
Vehicles must be returned with the same fuel level or charge as at pickup; otherwise, refueling or charging fees will apply.
Late returns may incur additional charges.
7. Maintenance and Repairs
Renters are responsible for notifying CGN Rentals LLC of any mechanical issues during the rental period.
Renters must not authorize any repairs without the company’s written consent.
8. GPS Tracking
All vehicles rented through CGN Rentals LLC are equipped with GPS tracking devices. These devices are used to ensure the safety of our vehicles, monitor compliance with rental agreements, and assist in locating vehicles if necessary. By renting a vehicle, you consent to the use of GPS tracking during the rental period.
9. Prohibited Conduct
Subleasing or renting the vehicle to another party.
Driving under the influence of alcohol, drugs, or any illegal substances.
Engaging in reckless or dangerous driving behavior.
10. Fees and Penalties
Cleaning fees may be applied if the vehicle is returned excessively dirty.
Traffic violations, tolls, and parking tickets incurred during the rental period are the renter’s responsibility.
Penalties for unauthorized use or violations of these Terms will be charged to the renter.
11. Limitation of Liability
CGN Rentals LLC is not liable for personal belongings left in the vehicle.
The company is not responsible for delays, accidents, or issues caused by events beyond our control (e.g., weather, natural disasters).
12. Rental Extensions
We reserve the right to decline rental extension requests for any reason, including but not limited to the following: the vehicle is reserved for another renter, the vehicle is due for scheduled maintenance, the extension request is made with insufficient notice, or the renter has not adhered to these Terms and Conditions. In cases where the renter is in good standing, we will make every reasonable effort to offer an alternative vehicle when available.
13. Rent-to-Own Program
CGN Rentals LLC offers a Rent-to-Own Program for eligible renters. Terms and conditions for this program will be outlined in a separate agreement. Eligibility and participation are subject to approval and compliance with program-specific requirements.
14. Termination
CGN Rentals LLC reserves the right to terminate the rental agreement if the renter violates any of these Terms.
15. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state of Maryland. Any disputes must be resolved in the courts of Maryland.
16. Amendments
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Renters are responsible for reviewing the Terms regularly.
17. Additional Rental Services
We offer a variety of rental services, including but not limited to RV rentals through platforms such as Outdoorsy or RVshare, rentals through Airbnb, and vehicle rentals through Turo. These Terms and Conditions apply to all rentals facilitated by CGN Rentals LLC, unless otherwise specified in platform-specific agreements. Renters acknowledge that they must comply with any additional terms set forth by third-party platforms when booking through those services.
By renting a vehicle from CGN Rentals LLC, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to these Terms and Conditions. These Terms and Conditions, together with the Rental Agreement, form a unified agreement between CGN Rentals LLC and the renter. Both documents are legally binding and must be accepted before proceeding with a rental request.
